Visa Information
General Visa Policy
We encourage foreign attendees to apply for their Indian visas as early as possible. If you encounter any difficulties, please seek advice from your local Indian embassy, consulate, or overseas mission. Please ensure that your passport has a validity of at least six months before your scheduled arrival in India.
VISA-Exempt Entry
Passport holders of the following nationalities do not require a visa to enter India (provided they are not arriving from mainland China).

e-Visa (e-Conference Visa)
The Government of India offers an e-Conference Visa facility to passport holders of over 160 countries.

How to Apply:
- Visit the official portal: indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/
- Select the "e-Conference Visa" category and submit the application form online.
- Upload your Official Invitation Letter and MHA/MEA clearance documents (these will be provided by the organizers after you register).
- Complete the visa fee payment online.
- Wait for your Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) approval via email.
Please provide your printed ETA and Official Invitation Letter in English when entering India.
Prior Reference Category (PRC) Countries
Participants from PRC countries (including Afghanistan, China, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Sudan, foreigners of Pakistani origin, and Stateless persons) require prior political clearance from the MHA. The required information must be provided to the conference secretariat no later than 14 August 2026.
Required Documents for Clearance:
- Registration Confirmation Letter: Showing IEEE TEMSMET 2026 is paid in full.
- Passport Copy: Clear color copy with at least six months validity.
- National ID: Color copy of your resident ID card.
- Photo: White background, JPG format, taken within the last 2 years.
- Proof of Employment/Enrollment: Verification letter or academic Resume.
- Flight Dates: Expected arrival and departure dates.
Once MHA clearance is obtained by the organizers, it will be emailed to you so you can officially apply for a regular/paper visa at the nearest Indian Embassy. If you have questions, please contact temsmet2026@sithyd.edu.in.
